A native of Port de Grave, Audrey moved to Grand Falls-Windsor to teach in 1973. There she met her husband and has made it her home ever since. Together they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Audrey has had a lifelong interest in heritage, genealogy and folklore. As a student at Memorial University she gathered collections of folksongs and folk remedies of the Port de Grave area. Since retiring she has completed the MANL Certificate in Museum Studies and now volunteers at the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society. There she manages the Society’s extensive collection of artifacts, photographs and other archival materials.
